Preserving the Past for Future Generations
Welcome to the Jackson Blacksmith Shop!
This is the official web page of the historic Jackson Blacksmith Shop located in Goochland County, Virginia. This blacksmith shop is still in working order and houses the original tools used by three generations of blacksmiths who started practicing the trade well before the Civil War. The Shop is maintained and this blacksmithing tradition is continued by the family and friends of the same Jackson smiths who worked in the field for well over 100 years.
This site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Exhibition Building was constructed to house various exhibits, artifacts, and other items.
